HYATT ZIVA ROSE HALL

The Hyatt Ziva/ Zilara Rose project is deep renovation, extensive room and F & B additions, and rebranding of the former Ritz Carlton Rose Hall; which was previously widely considered one of Jamaica’s most upscale luxury resort properties.

Executed as a design/ build project with a very compressed schedule, the development was entirely accomplished in just 19 months, including all architectural design, permitting, and complete turn key construction. LHDI was commissioned to provide Architectural design for the resort, while TLDI were retained for Project and Construction Management. LHDI/ TLDI worked seamlessly for the asset owners as ‘pseudo developers’, producing design work and production documents with all consultants, overseeing all engineering and construction, and addressing jobsite challenges up to and including the handover process.

The scope of works included renovations of the existing hotel public spaces and 427 keys, plus re-construction of the central swimming pool, creation a new chic designed passive swimming pool, and adding extensive ground floor swim up suites along the existing property rooms. To complement the new Hyatt Ziva, a playful Caribbean Village was conceived with multiple food & beverage outlets, bars, retail shops, and a circle shaped event platform stage for outdoor shows. To complete the new Ziva, a man made central beach was designed and built, including the resort signature wedding gazebo on a small island.

A  new 124 key Hyatt Zilara resort hotel was also designed and built the West edge of the resort property. With it’s own pools, restaurants, bars, spa and gym, the new resort operates like a high end hotel within a hotel, with full access to the adjacent Ziva amenities and outlets, but with a superior level of services and choices for the guest.
